Armed Forces Covenant

The Franchise Consultant is a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, signed by Managing Director Steve Lee on 26 November 2025. We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country — and we are committed to ensuring that members of the Armed Forces Community are treated fairly in everything we do.

Our commitment
Proudly supporting those who serve.

Our pledge

We, The Franchise Consultant, commit to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, both regular and reservist, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country.

This pledge was signed on behalf of The Franchise Consultant by Steve Lee, Managing Director, on 26 November 2025.

  • Promoting the Armed Forces Covenant and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme to our staff, clients and supply chain
  • Supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities

  • Developing relationships with other organisations supporting the Covenant and the Armed Forces Community

Why this matters to us

Franchising offers veterans and Service leavers a particularly strong route into business ownership. The discipline, leadership and operational skills developed in the Armed Forces translate directly into the qualities that make a successful franchisee, and the structured support of a franchise model provides the framework that many find valuable when transitioning to civilian life.

As a business operating across the UK, we are in a position to actively connect Armed Forces leavers with franchise opportunities and employers who are committed to supporting the community. We take that responsibility seriously.

Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant, The Franchise Consultant is eligible for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze award. The ERS encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same, with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards recognising increasing levels of commitment.

For more information about the ERS and how to apply, visit the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme page on GOV.UK.
