This statement is made on behalf of UK Franchise Consultants Ltd, trading as The Franchise Consultant (Company No. 14295331), in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chain.
Our business
The Franchise Consultant is a specialist franchise consultancy providing franchise development and franchisee recruitment services to business owners across the United Kingdom. We are a small business of ten people, all of whom work remotely from home. Our business does not involve manufacturing, physical supply chains, or the use of labour-intensive processes.
Our supply chain
Our supply chain is limited in scope. We engage suppliers for professional services including software, marketing, legal advice, and accountancy. These relationships involve established UK-based businesses operating in professional and regulated sectors where the risk of modern slavery is considered low.
We do not knowingly engage suppliers who participate in or facilitate modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking in any form.
Our policies and commitments
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. As a bfa Advisor Member, we operate in accordance with the British Franchise Association’s code of ethical conduct, which reflects values consistent with the prevention of exploitation in all forms.
All individuals who work with The Franchise Consultant do so under fair, transparent terms. We do not use zero-hours contracts as a mechanism to exploit workers, and we do not engage in or facilitate any practice that would constitute modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking.
Due diligence
Given the nature and size of our business, the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is considered very low. We will continue to review our supplier relationships and take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that those we work with share our commitment to ethical business practice.
Reporting concerns
Anyone who believes they have identified an instance of modern slavery in connection with The Franchise Consultant or its supply chain is encouraged to report it. Concerns can be raised directly with the Managing Director at hello@thefranchiseconsultant.co.uk or by contacting the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700.
